- Laura Jansseune's appointment as scientific staff member with teaching duties expired at the end of last month.
- In the April faculty council, the renewals of AAS appointments of Jaap Wijnen, Vickie Van Besien and Reinout Baetens will be ratified after positive advice from the department council.
- The doctoral fellowship appointments of Gizem Aslan and Evy Deschaumes were rencently extended for a three-year term after one year.
- Mathilde Joos her appointment as scientific staff member has been extended until early August.
- During her maternity leave, Valentien Spanhove will be replaced by Stefan Vermeulen (30%), Lisa Leyman (10%) and Brecht Van Genabet (10%).

Hey hey! My name is Willem De Ridder and I have been working at the university for nine years. For the last six years, I have mainly been working on the topic of talent development within DPO. Outside of work, I am a sports enthusiast. Whether it is a leisurely run, a bike ride, sliding down slopes on my snowboard or deconnecting on the water while kitesurfing. Sport occupies a central place in my life. When I am not playing sports, you can probably find me in my camper. There I like to find peace and quiet, enjoying the outdoors and a beer. My passion for sport and the outdoors strike a perfect balance with my work at university.
